Hi, i’m Kay :) Owner of Cherry lantern care, Certified Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula with over 8 years of professional childcare experience. CPR/First aid/AED certified with a background in the medical field as a phlebotomy technician, allowing me to bring an added level of safety awareness and professionalism to newborn care. I specialize in supporting families during the early weeks with structured routines, healthy sleep foundations, feeding support (breast and bottle), and calm, attentive overnight or daytime care. My approach is nurturing, dependable, and centered on helping both baby and parents feel supported and confident. I understand how important the newborn stage is, and I pride myself on clear communication, discretion, and maintaining a peaceful, organized environment in the home.

Our Process

  • The Initial Inquiry

    It all starts with our contact form. Share a few quick details about your family, your estimated due date (or baby’s current age), and the type of support you are looking for, whether that is overnight sleep conditioning, 24/7 newborn care, or daytime postpartum recovery support.

    The Discovery Consultation

    Within 24-48 hours, we will schedule a complimentary video or phone consultation. This is a no-pressure conversation to discuss your family’s unique needs, your parenting philosophy, and what a seamless transition into the fourth trimester looks like for you. It’s also a great time to see if we are the perfect fit for your home.

    Your Custom Care Plan & Booking

    Because every infant and household is different, we don’t do one-size-fits-all. Following our call, you will receive a customized care proposal. Once you review and approve the plan, a signed agreement and deposit will officially secure your dates on our calendar.

    The Nesting Phase (Pre-Arrival)

    Before your care officially begins, we stay in touch. For expecting parents, we are available to answer questions about nursery setup, essential registry items, and hospital bag prep. When baby arrives, simply keep us updated, and we will finalize the logistics for our first shift.

    Welcome Home & Care Begins

    Whether we are meeting you at the door the day you come home from the hospital or stepping in a few weeks later to help you finally get some sleep, our care begins. We take over the clinical safety, feeding rhythms, and household harmony so you can focus entirely on resting, recovering, and bonding with your baby.
